A couple of days ago FC Suðuroy appointed Slovenian defender Sasa Kolman as new coach for the rest of the season. Kolman will continue to play and will therefore be player-coach, replacing Pól F. Joensen who resigned as coach a week ago.
Kolman joined FC Suðuroy ahead of the current season.

Pól Jóhannus Justinussen debuts in the Danish Superliga
As mentioned two days ago, Pól Jóhannus Justinussen of AaB Aalborg had not made any appearance for the senior team since he joined them last February, but that changed yesterday when he was brought on for the last 10 minutes of the game against SønderjyskE in the last game of the season. The scorline then was 5-0 for SønderjyskE, which also became the final result.
Justinussen's contract was set to run to the end of the season, so it will be interesting to learn what the future holds for the player. Two of his former clubs in the Faroes, NSÍ Runavík and B68 Toftir are both in dire needs of his qualities, as they are both currently part of the relegation battle.
Or will a bigger club in the Faroes make an approach for him? HB Tórshavn could certainly make use of his defensive qualities…

FC Suðuroy coach Pól F. Joensen resigns
With only 2 points - and two scored goals - for FC Suðuroy after 9 matches, coach Pól F. Joensen has decided to resign.
Joensen was appointed ahead of last season when FC Suðuroy played in the 1st division and guided the club to promotion.
It is not clear yet who will take over for Joensen.
FC Suðurouy play the second leg of the cup semi-final on Wednesday where they still are in with a chance for a final birth as they lost only 1-0 away to Víkingur in the 1st leg.
However, Víkingur must still be considered huge favourites to go through, because if they score only one goal – and it’s hard not seeing them do that – then FC Suðuroy will have to score three times, and that would be the surprise of the season.
- But what a debut it would be for the new FC Suðuroy coach if they made it to the final!

Update:
FC Suðuroy have later this evening announced that it will be current assistant coach Tórður W. Holm, assisted by Bogi Mortensen and Egill Steintórsson (a former prolific striker for VB Vágur and TB Tvøroyri), who will act as caretaker coaches during FC Suðuroy's next two matches.
A final head coach will be appointed early next week.

A Faroese debut in Denmark and a full debut in Norway
René Shaki Joensen debuts in Danmark
About a week ago, 19 year old Brøndby-defender René Shaki Joensen made his first appearance in the Danish top league when he was brought on early in the second half in the match against AGF Aarhus. Brøndby was then trailing 3-0 and lost the match 5-1 in the end.
Jóan Símun Edmundsson makes full debut in Norway
Although he has come on as a substitute several times, Viking-forward Jóan Símun Edmundsson for the first time was in the starting line-up on Sunday when Viking visited Tromsø in the Norwegian top league. Edmundsson was substituted during halftime however, when Viking were 3-0 down. Tromsø won the match 5-1.
Only bench so far for Pól Jóhannus justinussen at AAB Aalborg
At AAB Aalborg in Denmark, who have Pól Jóhannus Justinussen in their fold, there has still not been room for him on the pitch in the top division. He as been on the bench several times, but as there is only one match remaining in the Danish league, it doesn’t look as Justinussen will be given the chance.
